The latest State of Zero Waste Municipalities Report is now available!
|
The fourth edition of the Cities Report endeavours to offer a comprehensive overview of local initiatives driving municipalities towards achieving zero waste goals, both within Europe and globally, through insights from our colleagues at GAIA. It showcases the pioneering work led by our members, and how collectively our local zero waste work now covers 16 million Europeans!
Highlights included in the report range from the establishment of 750 “menstruation-friendly” toilets in Catalonia, to the shutting down of one of California’s largest incinerators and the extraordinary courage from individuals in cities like Kharkiv, Ukraine, which reopened its EcoHub following severe city bombings.
Read the full report and discover the other initiatives and programmes implemented by municipalities. The chapters about Portugal and Italy are available in their respective native languages.
