Transforming cities with the ERIC project: Paving the way to zero waste through waste prevention and reuse | |
We're excited to share a new video showcasing the Elevating Reuse in Cities (ERIC) project in action. The film captures highlights from a recent training in Berlin, where over 50 city officials and Zero Waste Europe (ZWE) members gathered to explore innovative waste prevention and reuse strategies.
The video shows how ZWE and our members are working with cities and businesses representing 16 million Europeans to implement effective zero waste solutions. From Zagreb to Lyon, and from rural towns to major cities, ERIC is proving that prevention and reuse can make a difference everywhere. As Liina Kanarbik from the City of Tallinn notes, "You don't always have to wait for regulations from the EU or national level. You can act yourself". This empowering message underscores ERIC's goal of creating a network of municipal zero waste champions across Europe.
