Hi there, dear Reader!

Did you return to the office after the summer holidays, already looking for an opportunity to get away from your desk? Well, here's your chance: join us next month on our annual Study Tour, where you can connect with and learn from some of Europe's leading zero waste experts.

Aside from information about the Study Tour, this month we're bringing you resources for improving bio-waste collection in high-density areas, making reuse economically viable, and an opportunity to become a Zero Waste Trainer yourself.

Highlight of the month

ZWE Study Tour 2023: Experience innovative reuse and bio-waste systems in Catalonia from 23 to 25 October

Every year, Zero Waste Europe organises a Study Tour to a region of Europe showing exceptional progress in waste management practices, be it innovative reuse solutions, new ways of collecting municipal solid waste, or composting green and organic waste to create a better output.

2023 is no different, and this year, we will meet in the Barcelona region of Catalonia to experience a unique combination of best practices on two of the most discussed topics among local zero waste implementers: how to collect and treat bio-waste across urban and rural landscapes, and how to establish effective reuse systems.

Sounds interesting to you or your deskmate? You can download the official Study Tour programme here to learn more about the agenda.

Deadline for final registration: 27 September.
