We’ll also rewind back to earlier in the summer, when many cities took bold steps to reduce plastic waste and promote reuse solutions. And speaking of waste, the European Week for Waste Reduction is focusing on food waste this year, offering valuable resources you won’t want to miss!

Guidelines for local bio-waste management: A resource for municipalities and experts

A new set of guidelines for managing and implementing bio-waste at the local level is now available. Developed as part of the LIFE BIOBEST project, these publications cover key areas and outline best practices for: 
Designed to support municipalities, policymakers, waste professionals, recycling operators, and technical experts, these resources are valuable for both those just beginning bio-waste initiatives and those with advanced management systems in place.
